It seems that as we get drawn into the routines of life, we slowly minimize the importance of living with a bold and radical faith every single day. It just becomes the new normal. I've felt this myself over the past few weeks.

We stop praying boldly. We stop asking God to do the impossible—to move in extraordinary ways. This week, I sat down, read my Bible, prayed the same familiar prayer, and went on with my day. I think many of us have a default prayer that comes out when we're not fully present. It sounds almost the same every time.

Mine usually goes something like this:

"Father God, thank You for today. I pray that You would be with me as I go about my day..."

And then I continue on.

I'm not trying to minimize anyone's prayers. But when I catch myself praying like that, I realize I'm simply on autopilot. That's not the kind of relationship God desires. A personal relationship with Him requires our hearts, not just our words.

Lately, I've been trying to lean into a deeper relationship with God, even as busyness, stress, and distractions constantly compete for my attention.

So what would it look like to truly pray boldly? To ask God for the impossible? To pray that the people in our lives who don't know Christ would have a radical encounter with Him? To ask God to use us for His glory and equip us to serve others in everything we do?

This is what matters most.

Living with God at the forefront of our minds changes everything. Our purpose isn't simply to make it through another day—it's to faithfully contribute to the world around us and live each day in pursuit of advancing His Kingdom. When we truly believe our faith is everything, it begins to shape everything.
