The Long Road is Still the Right Road

Sometimes I wonder if I've got it all wrong — if the way I see things is out of step with God's plan for my life. There's so much noise out there: "I'd do it this way," "don't do it that way." Heres the deal, as long as you’re aligned with God and pursuing him, you’re headed in the right direction. We’ve all got ourown stuff to work through, in our own way, in ourown time. I wish there was an easier way to say that, but there isn't.
And regardless of where you're at, you can bet God is molding and shaping you right now — preparing you for something greater in His service. For some, it gets better soon. For others, it's a longer road. But here's what I know: God is good through all of it.
Not all your days are behind closed doors. There will come a time when the Lord calls you to more than yourself. And I know there's a whole generation of young men standing right where I am.
Romans 5:3-5 says:
"We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us."
We can rest in this: no matter our circumstances, we belong to the Lord through the gospel and the resurrection.
